If you’re looking for a campervan campsite that provides visitors with an excellent setting for exploring the Giant’s Causeway, Portrush, Coleraine, and Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, this destination in Northern Ireland could be the one for you.
The attractions are easy to access too, with the Causeway Coastal Rambler bus stopping at reception over the summer period, allowing you to have a break from driving.
If you feel like stretching your legs, you can head to Bushmills, where there are shops, cafes and a distillery, while an eight-acre dog walk will allow you to exercise any four-legged touring companions.
Children will also be kept occupied by a football field, indoor games room and play area.
All of the pitches include electric, water and drainage points, while you also get free Wi-Fi and electricity provided by a solar panel garden.
Excellent facilities are on offer, with a heated wash block providing wet-room showers, baby changing and family rooms, laundry, disabled facilities and dishwashing facilities.

Near the coastal towns of Macduff and Banff, this campervan campsite provides excellent facilities.
Each pitch has 16A electric hook-up and many offer satellite hook up, as well as a secluded woodland location – ideal for opening the side door and taking in some wonderful sights.
The facilities include a heated toilet block with a disabled suite, as well as a fully-equipped laundry. Each day, bread and newspapers are delivered, while a local store is only a 10 minute walk away.
There will be plenty to keep you occupied here, with sealife cruises running on the Moray Firth, coastal trails, beaches and rocky coves to explore, and golf at Duff House Royal and Royal Tarlair.

If you’d like to explore Wales and take in sights such as Hafren Forest, Snowdonia or the Brecon Beacons, Red Kite Touring Park could be the best campervan site to head to.
Family-run and adults-only, this campsite is a worthy addition to our round-up.
The picturesque park is set in 20 acres and comes with nature ponds and hiking routes. If you fancy trying your hand at fishing, there’s an on-site coarse fishing pond, well stocked with tench, carp to over 12lb, bream and crucian carp.
If you’re touring with a four-legged friend, you’ll be pleased to hear it’s also pet-friendly, with a dog pond, wash and a special dog-walking area – there’s also a fenced-off training area.
Facilities are excellent too, with underfloor heating, a disabled wet room, a laundrette and washing up-room all provided, as well as private cubicles.
Overbook Caravan Park

A campsite that combines peace and quiet with a beautiful setting is always going to prove popular, as the adults-only Overbook Caravan Park proves.
Set in the North York Moors National Park, it is located on the site of a disused railway station.
The 50 pitches all come with 16A electric hook-up and there are some excellent amenities to hand, ranging from a heated toilet block and hot showers to a dish-washing area and laundrette. A lending library and information point are also available too.
From here, it’s only 30 minutes to Whitby and Scarborough, while the beautiful Thornton-le-Dale is nearby.
There will be plenty to explore in the surrounding area, including the National Park itself, National Trust properties, and quaint fishing villages, such as Robin Hood’s Bay and Runswick Bay.
Bagwell Farm Touring Park

Based near Chesil Beach on the Jurassic Coast, this picturesque touring destination provides easy access to some of Dorset’s best spots, including Weymouth and Portland. It’s also only a short trip inland to Cerne Abbas Giant.
Facilities on site include a laundrette, shop, showers and bathrooms, while the Red Barn Restaurant is open daily during the high season. Children are sure to love meeting the farm’s two resident donkeys, while there is also a play area to keep them occupied.
Meadow Falls

This beautiful campsite is found on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Sitting in the lovely village of Ingleton, the family-run site includes modern shower rooms, a tuck shop, and a children’s play area, while dog owners will be pleased to hear there’s a 200m dog-walk and dog-wash.
Barbecues and fire pits are available for hire, allowing you to enjoy those long summer evenings. There is also the beautiful Fairy Dell, where you can take a wander through the trees and spot secret doors and hidden fairies.
Off-site, you can explore the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (a stunning five-mile hike that takes you past six waterfalls), climb the Yorkshire Three Peaks, or embark on one of the many walking routes that are in the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales.
After a day’s excursion, you can then head to nearby Ingleton, where there are a number of bars and restaurants to try out.
Colchester Country Park

This Colchester-based park is well placed for easy access to the A12 and is an ideal base for exploring this part of Essex.
There will be plenty to do, with Colchester Castle, the zoo and an arts centre all nearby, while you can head further afield to take in Beth Chatto’s Plants and Gardens and Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you prefer a trip to the seaside, Clacton, Frinton-on-Sea and Mersea Island can all be explored too.
London will also be easy to reach, with good links into the capital by train.
The spacious site provides a large play area for children, and is dog-friendly. There are excellent facilities available, including three amenity blocks – all with private cubicles – a disabled unit, dishwashing and a laundrette.
Ludlow Touring Park

From here, you can easily explore along the Wales/England border, while on-site, you can find a centrally heated toilet and shower block, disabled facilities, children’s play area, laundrette and baby changing / family room.
A separate adults-only section will allow you to have a more peaceful stay if you’d prefer, while canines can be exercised in the large, fenced dog-walking area.
If you like the idea of a relaxing river walk, the River Teme runs alongside the park, while Ludlow Castle is nearby if you fancy a spot of culture. Other destinations to consider visiting include the Severn Valley Railway and the Clee Hills, while there’s also the option of heading south into Herefordshire or north into the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Back of Beyond Touring Park

This touring park boasts excellent green credentials. It’s set in 30 acres of beautiful countryside, including woodland, heathlands, lakes and a river. Around the lakes, it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), due to the rare species that live there, including dragonflies, birds, heron, otters and fish.
The site has been the recipient of a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award for several years running, and received a special award in 2020 by David’s son, Rufus.
Dogs need to be kept away from the SSSI, the lakes, and the river, but a secure dog-walking area is available, while they can go off-lead in the woods.
Impressive facilities are available, with four heated toilet and shower blocks offering power showers. There have also been upgrades to pitches and the bar has been extended.
Fire pits can be hired – ideal for extending the evening – while food vendors also visit the park.
Old Oaks Touring Park

If you want to stay at a truly luxurious campervan site, Old Oaks Touring Park could be the one for you. The site is based near Glastonbury, and is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area. The adults-only campsite has a beautiful lake that you can fish in, while dogs can go for a run in an exercise area.
There are some excellent facilities provided too, including a shop that is well stocked with daily essentials and fresh bakery items. Two amenities blocks are on-site, with 15 private shower rooms, two dishwashing areas and laundrettes, while there are a number of hot food options available seven nights a week.
In the information room, you can find a pool table, book exchange, 42-inch TV and sofas too.
Langstone Manor Touring Park

This campervan campsite is based in the grounds of Langstone Manor. It’s a picturesque site that is situated in a sheltered woodland valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, near Tavistock, and it provides a great base for exploring the Devon and Cornwall coastline.
It’s a peaceful setting that encourages wildlife – trees and plants decorate the park, and it’s part of the David Bellamy Conservation Scheme.
Facilities are excellent, including hot showers, toilets, underfloor heating, hairdryers, a laundrette, dishwashing area and chemical disposal point.
A playground and table tennis will keep younger visitors entertained, although if you’re touring with a dog, it’s worth noting they need to be kept on a lead.
Findhorn Bay Holiday Park

Only a short walk from the Moray Firth and overlooking the stunning Findhorn Bay, this beautiful campsite in Scotland is set in a delightful setting of sandy beaches, pines and coves.
The site is next door to the Findhorn Foundation and Community, with its award-winning shop and cafe. There’s also access to adventure sports, including rafting and mountain biking.
Silver Sands Holiday Park

Found on the Lizard Peninsula and set in nine acres, this beautiful campsite has good facilities to hand, ranging from a shower block and laundrette to play and barbecue areas. As well as this, there is also a shop and information hut.
The site comes with green credentials, and has received a David Bellamy Gold Award in recognition of the park’s commitment to preserving the natural environment.
If you leave your campervan at the campsite, you can set off on a 1km woodland walk – that takes you through Gwendreath Valley – to reach Kennach Sands. Other notable places in the area include Kynance Cove, Lizard Point and Helford River.
