With its immaculate pitches, flawless facilities and brilliant location, it’s no surprise that Killerby Old Hall has been crowned the North-East’s Regional Winner for 2023.

The attractive site has been carefully updated to provide a welcoming, luxurious stay. The peaceful park is home to 30 gravel touring pitches that are all level, well drained and serviced with electric hook-up and a digital TV feed. There are also six luxury lodges and cottages, and all accommodation is set in 40 acres of farmland.

The park is a treat to stay at, with onsite amenities including a dog-friendly licensed bar, housed in a charming converted barn, and a takeaway restaurant. The lavish shower and toilet blocks provide central heating, and there are modern dishwashing and laundry facilities available. All guests have access to the indoor heated swimming pool and a playing field, and there is a well-equipped children’s play area.

A stay at Killerby puts visitors in a perfect spot for exploring some beautiful areas on the British Heritage Coast, including Scarborough and Filey. A short walk from the site is the charming coastal village of Cayton, with pubs and restaurants, as well as a sandy beach.

Visitors can catch a bus nearby that runs between Scarborough and Pickering, stopping in several pretty villages along the way. Filey and Flamborough are a short drive away.

Set in 44 acres of parkland near the Scottish border, this site is the flagship of the Maguires Country Parks group.

Pitches are all hardstanding and there are luxurious washing facilities. The popular onsite bar and grill houses a soft play area and an adults-only lounge, while there is a large children’s playground and games field. The surrounding area offers plenty of brilliant days out for the whole family, including Berwick-upon-Tweed and the Northumberland Coast Path.

This lovely Yorkshire site is a Top 100 regular, set on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park.

Offering peaceful adults-only touring in rolling countryside, the park also provides heated toilets, laundry machines, a dishwashing area, a dog zone and a dedicated dog shower. This pretty site also hosts a licensed shop, lending library and secure bike storage.

Nearby is the village of Thornton Dale and a great bus service for Helmsley, York and Whitby.

Robin Hood

For the youngsters, there’s a treasure trail and a children’s play area. The park is in a great spot for accessing North York Moors National Park, as well as the historical city of York.

Nearby is a petrol station and convenience store, along with several villages, for pubs and shops.

There are many walking and cycling routes to explore in the area, as well as the picturesque River Wharfe.

A 10-minute drive from the city of York, this adults-only touring park makes a wonderful base for exploring the north-east.

The park enjoys the superb backdrop of beautiful Yorkshire countryside, while being just a stone’s throw from the A64. Pitches are hardstanding and fully serviced, and the campsite also provides a fishing lake and plenty of green space.

For 2023, they are updating the facilities, adding an area for hair and make-up, power sockets and shaving cubicles in washrooms.
